Can you use PS3 console to mine Bitcoin, theoretically?.

PS3 being jailbroken can and gives us the ability to install some linux distro. It also has a capability to become a supercomputer. I am trying to start a project where i take advantage of the PS3 cell processor to mine Bitcoin. I want to know if there is something to pursue or if failure awaits me. Thanks for your time

Ether Mining with a PS3?

There are some people reporting bitcoin mining at 22 m/h back in the day and I'm wondering if this would be feasible for ether today.
There are also a couple old posts in this sub saying its a waste, but there are naysayers everywhere.
While I don't know the raw specs of the GPU in there, PS3s are so cheap these days (and can be networked into a supercomputer of the day) that it seems wrong to not even look into the idea.
It wouldnt be hard to root and rollback a handful of ps3s, and networking 4-5 of them could hit the 100 m/h mark
Anyone know anything about this?

Mining with PS4 cluters - is it possible?

There was a text post here several months ago asking if it is possible to mine using a PS4, the answer being that it is plausible but not practical, as there are cheaper systems that would yield better results.
I was thinking about the PS3 and how it was used remotely in clusters for supercomputing. When your PS3 was on standby, if you allowed it, they would connect to it via your internet and use its processing power. Pretty cool. From wikipedia:
On March 22, 2007, SCE and Stanford University expanded the [email protected] project to the PS3.[24] Along with thousands of PCs already joined over the Internet, PS3 owners are able to lend the computing power of their game systems to the study of improper protein folding and associated diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Huntington's, cystic fibrosis, and several forms of cancer. The software was included as part of the 1.6 firmware update (March 22, 2007), and can be set to run manually or automatically when the PS3 is idle through the Cross Media Bar. The processed information is then sent back to project's central servers over the Internet. Processing power from PS3 users is greatly contributing to the [email protected] project, and PS3s are third to both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs in terms of teraflops contributed.[25] As of March 2011, more than a million PS3 owners have allowed the [email protected] software to be run on their systems, with over 27,000 currently active, for a total of 8.1 petaFLOPS. By comparison, the world's most powerful supercomputer as of November 2010, the Tianhe-IA has a peak performance of 2.56 petaFLOPS, or 2566 teraFLOPS.
My question is would a similar thing be possible with bitcoin mining? Pooling together idle systems to mine as one supercomputer?
I'm guessing it's as simple "No," for the answer, but still - I'm interested to know why! Thanks.
